A brilliant experience sailing to the mouth of the Wash and seeing Kings Lynn from a new perspective. It was a gentle easy going trip with a very friendly and informative crew of volunteers that are a great part of the overall experience. Once the engine is switched off and you are under sail power the voyage comes into its own. You are even invited to take the tiller!!! Very worthwhile.

A great trip from Kings Lynn harbour up the ouse to the mouth of the wash, the crew were freindly and informative and we got to see the seals basking on the sands !
To go under sail was brilliant, just the sound of the wind through the sail and the lapping of the sea !
recommend this trip !

Lovely gentle trip up the river nice to see the town from a different perspective. The trip was relaxed and the crew were knowledgeable and friendly with a good knowledge of the local area. The restoration work on the Baden powell is first class and it is a unique opportunity to cruise the river Ouse. We even managed to move under sail and the silence was deafening with only the bird noise to hear.

A brilliant trip especially for folks brought up in King’s Lynn but also for visitors. 6 passengers and 4 experienced mariner/volunteer crew members.
We motored out to the Wash because of unfriendly winds but sailed back in absolute calm. It was a very special day.
We saw many seals on the Wash’s mud banks and a great many sea birds.

We really enjoyed our sailing trip and can wholeheartedly recommend taking the opportunity to experience this lovely journey. The boat has been saved from demolition by a number of committed volunteers who lovingly restored the cockler boat which now is 120 years old. The trip lasted nearly 2 hours and due to the boats size she can only carry a small number of visitors beside her crew. Wonderful views of kings Lynn and wildlife including seals.children on our trip were given the chance to steer /sail the boat which will be a wonderful memory.
Can highly recommend! Thank you for a fantastic afternoon!!

Great idea for a birthday present!
I bought this as a present for my husband – he’s always wanted to explore this waterway but we have never got around to it. We were lucky with the weather on the evening, which I suppose helped – we were also the only guests, so it felt like a very personalised service. The men who took us out could not have been friendlier – they are obviously huge enthusiasts of what they do and where they live, and this was lovely to be part of. We were out for a couple of hours and we loved it – well worth a trip. The parking around there is tricky, so make sure you take change – we got caught out as we only had cards.
