Book here for trips on the Baden Powell and see Tripadvisor reviews
We are launching soon after repainting and maintenance etc. There are some new regulations for us this year so we won’t be able to run trips until we have jumped through several hoops. If you see us on the water it is for crew training only.
We have been going through sail training with the crew to prepare them for sailing with the new social distance rule. We are ready to take a few guests at a time out for a sail maintaining the social distance of 1 metre.
The trips are for couples in two separate bubbles or one bubble of six. If booking 6, book for 4 and then email us the actual number and names.
When appropriate we are then hoping to take people out as normal.
Book the seats required using the space below.
Or, book for your own private party of up to eight passengers.
Any problems with booking, phone us on 07979 887096 or 07795 156653 or use the contact us page here.
We welcome the challenge of including disabled people – talk to us about it.
A confirmation email will be sent, which includes safety advice. Passengers remain seated in the hold unless invited ‘topside’ by a crew member.
Passengers must be at least five years old and should wear flat shoes. Warm clothing is recommended.
We can only sail when the tide is high, so check tide times here. The weather can also be unsuitable. So leave a phone number (preferably mobile) so we can contact you if a trip needs to be cancelled.
In 2019 we had to pay £16.09 for each passenger just to cover insurance and trust liabilities – even before fuel, running repairs, paint and rigging maintenance. Yet, as a Trust run entirely by volunteers, we aren’t allowed to charge passengers directly for our trips. So, we invite each passenger to make a donation to the Trust of at least £17 for a short trip to see the town frontage, or more for a view of The Wash, where we normally see seals and a wide variety of birds.
The trips usually leave from King’s Lynn’s South Quay pontoons, near Marriott’s Warehouse Restaurant, PE30 5GN Map here
